Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-12
These terms govern your use of VanishCaptcha ("VanishCaptcha", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the API, you agree to them. If you are using VanishCaptcha for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.
1. The service
VanishCaptcha is a hosted API that solves hCaptcha challenges and returns a token your client submits as a normal h-captcha-response. You send a sitekey and a page URL; a worker plays the challenge and hands back the result. We may add, change, or remove features over time. VanishCaptcha solves hCaptcha only — including regular, invisible and enterprise (rqdata) sitekeys. Support for other captcha types, if any, is offered separately and is not promised by these terms.
VanishCaptcha is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by hCaptcha, Intuition Machines, Inc., or any site that uses hCaptcha. All third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the service does.
2. Accounts and API keys
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for all activity under your account. You can view and copy a key from the dashboard. If you believe a key has been exposed, revoke it from the dashboard and open a ticket from Support.
You must provide accurate account information. Each key can carry its own spend limit so one leaked key cannot drain the whole balance. Revoking a key takes effect on the next request.
3. Permitted use
You may use VanishCaptcha on sites you own, or sites you have permission to test. That is the whole permitted scope, and you confirm it when you create an account.
You are solely responsible for how you use the tokens the API returns and for complying with all laws that apply to you. You agree not to use VanishCaptcha to break the law, to commit fraud, to infringe others' rights, or to attack, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any system. You further agree not to use it for credential stuffing, account takeover, or password-guessing attacks; to create accounts in volume on services that prohibit it; to scrape data you have no right to; to send spam; or to distribute malware.
You are responsible for determining whether your use complies with the terms of any third-party site or service you direct VanishCaptcha at, and for any consequence of that use. We take no position on those terms and give no assurance about them.
You also agree not to resell, sublicense, or provide VanishCaptcha as a standalone solving service or service bureau — you may embed it in an application you operate, but you may not offer the API, or a wrapper around it, as a product of its own; not to reverse engineer the service except to the extent mandatory law permits; and not to circumvent rate, concurrency, or credit limits, including by operating multiple accounts.
We may suspend accounts we reasonably believe are violating this section. If a suspension turns out to have been unfounded, we will reinstate the account and restore any credits affected by it. Subject to that, our liability for a suspension is limited as set out in section 11.
4. Credits and billing
- VanishCaptcha is prepaid. You buy credits and spend them as you solve.
- Credits are a prepaid, limited licence to use the service. They have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts, and are not redeemable for money. They are forfeited if we close your account for fraud, chargeback abuse, illegal use, or another material breach of these terms.
- A successful solve costs 10 credits plus 4 for every challenge round after the first, capped at 40. hCaptcha decides how many rounds a request gets, so the charge varies with the sitekey; a typical solve is around 22. That is what the API bills today. We may change the credits charged for a solve later; any change applies only to solves you make after it takes effect, never to credits you already hold.
- We charge credits when we return a token. Whether the site you submit it to accepts that token is outside our control and does not reverse the charge. Failed, cancelled, or expired solves are never charged; if you are charged for one in error, open a ticket and we will credit it back.
- Credits do not expire. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no automatic top-up unless we add one later and you turn it on.
- Credits granted rather than purchased — trial, promotional, referral, or goodwill credits — carry no cash value and are not refundable.
- Purchased credits are non-refundable, except as stated in these terms or where a refund is required by mandatory law. Prices and pack sizes may change, but a change never affects credits you already hold.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider where card payments are connected; their terms apply to the payment itself. We do not store your full card details. Where card payments are not connected on a deployment, an operator settles the invoice by hand and credits land when that is done.
- If you believe a charge is wrong, open a ticket from Support first. Opening a card chargeback on credits we have already delivered may lead to suspension of your account pending resolution. If a payment is reversed, charged back, or found to be fraudulent, we may suspend or close the account and void any credits funded by that payment.
5. Your content and our rights
You grant us a licence to host, process, and create derived works from the material you submit and the request metadata generated by your use of the service, in order to operate, secure, debug, and improve VanishCaptcha. That includes challenge captures — pictures of the captcha widgets a worker sees — which we use to train and evaluate the vision model. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence. The Privacy Policy describes what we store and for how long.
6. Intellectual property
We own the service, the software behind it, and all related intellectual property. Subject to these terms, you have a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the API and use the tokens it returns in your own application. We grant you no rights in any third-party trademark. Any feedback you send us may be used without restriction or obligation to you.
7. Indemnification
You will cover us for any third-party claim arising out of your use of VanishCaptcha, the tokens it returns, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own fault. This section survives termination.
8. Data and privacy
How we collect and use personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. We may disclose account, billing, and usage information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, to respond to a public authority, or to investigate suspected fraud or abuse.
9. Availability
There is no uptime, latency, or solve-rate commitment. The status page shows measured uptime rather than a promise, and the numbers on it are the only claim made here. We may perform maintenance, impose rate or concurrency limits, and update the service without notice.
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including the acts of third parties, network or provider failures, and changes to systems outside our control — including hCaptcha itself.
10. No warranty
VanishCaptcha is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any solve will be accepted by a third party. Do not build anything that matters on it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Given that this is a learning project run at cost, our total liability is limited to the unused purchased credits on your balance. This does not limit our obligation to restore credits deducted in error, or your obligation to pay amounts you owe.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using VanishCaptcha at any time. You can delete your account from Settings, which erases the account, its keys and its ledger. Remaining purchased credits are forfeited on a deletion you initiate. We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches these terms.
If the service stops for good, unused purchased credits are refundable on request. Trial, promotional, referral, or goodwill credits are not. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (billing owed, the credits licence, intellectual property, indemnification, warranty disclaimers, liability limits) continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the version and date shown above. Continuing to use VanishCaptcha after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. General
These pages describe a learning and test project, not a contract with a registered operating company named here. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest still apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent.
